Bed frames & headboards

The construction

Side rails are dimensioned solid timber, joined to the head and foot rails with bolt-through metal fittings — so the bed can be disassembled cleanly when moving house. A central support beam runs the long axis on queen and larger sizes, with two additional cross-supports on king and super-king beds.

The mattress sits on solid timber slats, spaced at 70mm centres for proper ventilation in our climate. We do not use cardboard, plywood or composite slats. Box-spring compatible variants are available on request.

Headboard variants we build

• Buttoned panel (classic, deep-button or shallow-button)
• Fluted vertical or horizontal channels
• Plain slip-cover finish for clients who want washable covers
• Slat-back solid timber with optional buttoned cushion overlay
• Solid timber face with bevelled or chamfered detail

Sizes we build

Our default sizing follows the Malaysian standard (Single 91×190cm, Super Single 107×190cm, Queen 152×190cm, King 183×190cm). For California King mattresses, European sizes or any non-standard mattress, we build to the manufacturer’s exact dimensions provided you can give us the spec sheet.

Storage variants

If under-bed storage matters, we offer two formats. The drawer-bed has two large drawers on the side, riding on full-extension ball-bearing runners rated for thirty kilograms each. The gas-lift platform-bed hinges the entire mattress base on twin gas struts, exposing a single, large under-mattress storage compartment.
